John Sanaghan Executive Director of Integritas Institute fr.johnsanaghan@integritasinstitute.org sanaghan.jpg Rev.John Sanaghan studied at the Niles College, St. Mary of the Lake University, Yale, Northwestern and the University of Chicago. John was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese in 1972 and served as an associate pastor at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Parish for five years followed by nine years as director of pastoral care at Columbus/Cuneo/Cabrini Medical Center. During this time he also taught clinical/pastoral education at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and courses in nursing ethics.

From 1986-1990, John was chaplain and director of the Calvert House, the Catholic center at the University of Chicago. Taking a break from ministry, John was a floor broker at the Chicago Board of Trade, an administrator at Purdue University and then, for 14 years, lived in Washington D.C. designing and conducting ethics and professional conduct programs for registered professionals in the financial industry.

He now serves at St. Matthias Parish and as the Executive Director of the Integritas Institute of Ethics at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Helen McCullough Associate Director of Integritas Institute helenmccullough@integritasinstitute.org McCullough.jpg Ms. Helen T. McCullough is the founder and president of Arboretum Technology, LLC where she leads complex technology solutions and software development projects to satisfy her clients’ business demand.

Ms. McCullough has 30 year’s of progressive business responsibility and her expertise on values based program leadership applied to strategic global technology solutions is highly valued. As the associated program director for the Integritas Institute for Ethics at the John Paul II Newman Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago she defines business ethics programs for the students in the College of Business Administration.

Ms. McCullough holds a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from University of Illinois Chicago, an MBA in Finance from DePaul University, and an MS in Organizational Leadership and Ethics from St. Edward’s University.

Fr. Timothy Fiala Marriage and Family Ethics, Cardinal Newman Quarterly fr.timfiala@jp2newman.com Fiala.jpg Reverend Timothy Fiala received his B.S. from University of Illinois, Chicago; STB, M. Div., STL, University of St. Mary of the Lake - Mundelein Seminary; STD, John Paul II Institute at The Catholic University of America). Reverend Fiala was ordained in 1996. He has been an associate pastor at St. Philip the Apostle in Northfield (1996-1997) while completing his STL degree; St. Cletus in LaGrange (1997-2000); Divine Providence in Westchester (2000-2001). In 2001 he was a part-time instructor for the fourth year permanent deaconate class for the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Rev. Fiala also taught moral theology classes for the continuing education of Catholic School teachers. He is currently leading the development of the first Bioethics Symposium at the Integritas Institute for Ethics and the John Paul II Newman Center at the University of Illinois Chicago.

Amanda M. So Graduate Assistant College of Business Administration amandaso@uic.edu So.gif Ms. Amanda So received her B.S. in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. There she was involved in Student Affairs, serving as a Turner Fellow in the Office of the Vice Chancellor, a Student Senator for the College of Business, and as the Vice President for Programs on the Illini Union Board. She went on to become an Assistant Buyer and Campus Recruiter for Target Corporate Headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota and then became a College Recruiter for Sears Holdings Corporate Office in Hoffman Estates, IL.

Amanda is now pursuing her MBA as a full time candidate at the University of Illinois at Chicago, while holding a position as a Graduate Assistant with the Integritas Institute for Ethics. She enjoys traveling, playing guitar, and surfing in her spare time.
